I currently run 28898 and when updating to xbmc-r30898-trunk.exe I lost the config somehow. The skin has changed and stuff.

How can I resolve this? I have reverted to 28898 now and it works, but I would like to upgrade.

Skins are now addons - your old skins won't work. Similarly, scripts and plugins are now addons, so they won't work either.

Everything else would have been automatically updated.

yeah i have been checking the skins out with SVN to keep these new releases working. as said previously they are now stored in addons.

also i use portable config. and the path for userdata has changed. its now under portable_data

Thanks, I moved my userdata folder to portable_data and all works now.
