Tried using the new Nvidia drivers together with XBMC (live) 9.11. Message from xbmc.log is:

Any clue what might be wrong? Nvidia drivers to new to handle XBMC?

Not sure if if you actually meant 256.25 as they are working fine.

Steps can be followed on a karmic install with same results.

I recently did an update to newest nvidia drivers via x-swat, and even though I'm running a newer revision of XBMC, I have experienced no problems whatsoever with the drivers. maybe it's really XBMC build-related.
OpenElec Standalone --> Asus Chromebox 'Panther' --> Onkyo TX-NR709 --> Sony 55" X85C Android TV (also with Kodi!)
Asus Chromebox EZ Script
Kodi on Sony Bravia Android TVs

Looks like nvidia just released 256.35 yesterday. I'll wait to hear about someone else succeeding before I try.

Why the heck not, I'll let you know how it goes.

*edit* No problems. 1080p Blu-Ray rip of Where the Wild Things Are ran fine. Only tested the first 10 min or so, but dropped 5 frames when it started and zero after that. I was upgrading from 256.29, so ymmv.
