What do you think of my new setup?

Link below will have plenty of photos. Description in Chinese, but photos will tell the story. I would take this piece apart and only carry over the MB. One thing that confused me is that the Micro M2 has a much higher opening than this MB. Not sure how this would look? And whether it fits at all?

this is the same: http://www.foxconnchannel.com/product/Ba...index.html

i had the same box at home but never thought about moving the mb into the hfx case. i have no idea about the layout of the mounting holes nor if there is enough space to mount the two heatpipe cooling blocks. in my opinion this is quite risky. i would invest some more bucks and buy a micro itx ion board.

sorry but i cant help you with this. Sad

  • storage: Synology DS409
  • mediacenter: HFX micro black - Zotac IONITX G - Intel X25V
  • vdr: D945GSEJT with DVB-C card and DVB-C usb stick
  • mediacentersoftware: ofc xbmc Smile

temperatures when watching a hd movie:
GPU: 49-50°C
CPU: one core 17°C other one 24°C

tempertures when idle:
GPU: 52°C
CPU: one core 17° other one 24°C

dont ask me why the gpu is cooler when watching a hd movie.. tested it several times. maybe a fault of the nvidia-smi tool.

the hfx is abit pricy but its just rocks. cooled with heatpipes, i got a 0db mediacenter.

vdr records to nfs mount on the synology. my hfx machine has nfs mounts for movies, vdr, series,...

works like a charm! i love it!!

the bad thing.. i just have a hd-ready tv.. Sad

Do you really need to copy/paste an entire post for that, bro?
