XBMC Displays a White Screen
#1
Okay so I read the wiki regarding white/black screen, but I haven't been able to fix it and I am still unsure whether it is something I am doing wrong, or that my graphics card cannot handle it (this is an older computer so that would make sense).

Just to note, Boxee works on this computer, but XBMC doesn't, but I would prefer to use XBMC.

Here is a copy of my DxDiag (with some omissions), please tell me if I can use XBMC to play videos:

Are your drivers really from 2006? I know the 9000 series is an old card.

The white screen is usually the result of your video card/drivers not support Pixel Shaders v2, which is required by the DirectX code used in XBMC. With the release v9.11 the solution was to use one of the various unofficial OpenGL builds. If you use the Dharma beta 1 I'm fairly sure this has a workaround for the Pixel shader problem and should work even on old GPUs.

Incidentally, people will shout at you for bumping your post more frequently than 24 hours. We get enough nagging from our wives :-)
