[Dharma] 480p Content Playback Jutter?
#1
I have an Acer Revo 1600 running the Dharma Beta 1 build.

1080p and 720p videos play back better than ever. But I have been noticing 480p content is prone to frame jutter in quiet scenes, and intermittent panning jutter as well. It's very random.

Just curious if anyone has been experiencing anything likewise?

Does XBMC upscale the content? Could that potentially be the problem or something related to the way SD content plays back on 1080p sets?

I recorded a log using the debug mode but I can't find the file? I searched for xbmc.log

Soft telecine ntsc dvd ripped to mkv without a pulldown correction on the timestamps, we don't handle that too well at the moment.

For anyone wondering, I used Handbrake with fps set to "same as source". I beliebe that's the problem.

Check https://trac.handbrake.fr/wiki/Telecine
I think you just need to set the fps to 23.976.
