Are there many differences between those 2? I can buy the R3600 for €250 inclusive keyboard, mouse and W7

Is the R3610 much better or will the R3600 will do his job for HTPC?

You should be fine with the lower one for XBMC. I use the R1600 (single core atom) version and couldn't be happier.

The R3600 doesn't have this, but the R3610 got it.

No the R1600 doesn't have an optical out, I use a Turtle Beach Audio Advantage Micro that I've had for years.

Is it possible to use an USB to S/PDIF converter on the R3600? So i have also S/PDIF on my R3600.

Can this be the same as a HTPC/R3610 with build-in S/PDIF ?

I just bought the r3610 for €323 with shipping. I found the r3600 (used) for €250

I' added a numeric audio output on my revo r3600 :
r3600 and 3610 have the same hardware components.

I've made a modification, it works with XBMC (but I don't find how to activate it with Windows).

Please take a look at this, this is my article, it is in French (sorry about that ) but I think you'll probably understand how to do this
