We would like to limit the action a user can undertake when using xbmc.
we want to set up a pc with xbmc and a touch screen. the users can only play the videos we provide but they are not allowed to change settings.

How can we limit the user interface to only allow playing videos and do nothing else?

AFAIK there is no easy solution however you should be able to change the startup window in the gui settings and then customize the keymap.xml and skin to achieve this.

i have outlined this earlier, but here we go again;

1) enable the master lock - lock everything down
2) set your startup window to videos
3) remove the mapping for parent menu from the video window. with a touchscreen this mostly means removing the skin button.
