.ape file, multiple cds, bad listing
#1
Hello,

i have some albums with multiple cds in ape format.

The cd number and cd count tag (in .ape) is set fine, as in various other .flac files, but (only) xbmc doesnt realise this.

The tracks are sorted this way:

01 - track 1 cd 1
01 - track 1 cd 2
02 - track 2 cd 1
02 - track 2 cd 2
...

With flac albums it works perfectly, but with ape it seems like he ignores the cd number/count tag.

Settings:
Skin: Confluence
OS: Win 7

Btw, is there any way to make confluence (modded or not, anyway) show the cds "grouped" like:

CD1
01 - track 1 cd 1
02 - track 2 cd 1
03 - track 3 cd 1
CD2
01 - track 1 cd 2
02 - track 2 cd 2
03 - track 3 cd 2
...

With the CD# as a Caption?? Is it anyway possible to make such groups in listings? (Listview)

Thy 4 reading,

Probably due to the APE tags using something that is non-standard perhaps? What are the tags for those files?

What exactly do you mean with "the Tags"?
Do you mean the way they are stored?

Heres the spec.:

I'm well aware of the spec. What is in the files *may* not be what is in the spec. Smile

Supply a small file that shows the issue may be a quick way forward if you think there's a bug - pop a ticket on trac and attach the file. Feel free to cc me if you like.

Cheers,
Jonathan
