[Web Interface Addon] AWX - Ajax based Web Interface Addon for XBMC
Great interface!

Would be neat to select music with an iOS device like an iPad. Both safari and atomic web browser seem to load up awx fine, however, the scroll bars are absent thus making it impossible to scroll beyond the initial loaded page. Any foreseeable support here?

Hey Mkay,

I just wrote an request for an Jukebox app, here the link:
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=97489

But I must see that you done the job nearly already. Are you still working on AWX?

I found a bug in awx that the playlists music and video shows only N/A instead of the file name.
Could you look into that problem?

Mkay, thanks for making a great interface. I'm having a problem with my music. For starters, i've got 55GB and about 10k songs and my music is all organized and tagged. My organization is C:\media\music\artist\album\*.mp3

Yesterday i spent some time going back through all the compilations and adding "various artists" to the Album Artist field so when using XBMC it doesn't list 5000 artists. However, i noticed this didn't carry over to AWX. Is there something i need to do differently or is this just part of using AWX?

Did you try performing a library update?

Definitely, it updates on startup. I've restarted XBMC about 6 times, and cleaned the library too.

Now, I hope this isn't a stupid question, but is there any way to do the equivalent of an ok/play once the DVD menu comes up on the TV? Or any way to change selections from the menu?

I also have this problem. When i start a DVD and i have to choose language i cant move the "cursor".

Am i just stupid or cant this be done?

Cheers and tnx for a great addon!

I found https://github.com/eins78/webinterface.awx a while back, not sure that this is the original and/or most up to date version but it seems to be...

MKay,
Please let us know if you are planning, in the near future, to do any more development and release updates.

thx
I'm not an expert but I play one at work.

If this is still being worked on it would be great to have the ability to update the library from the interface and while its playing a movie instead of having a big black area have the info from the movie or tv episode
this interface is awesome and i hope it can get even better
thanks!

Thumbs Up
I am going to buy a phone that has WLAN connection, and I am looking for hints on what kind of phones should I buy. After I found this add-on and tried it from my laptop, I feel any touchscreen phone with WLAN and JavaScript support would be sufficient. Nerd

Just a heads up I've tried this on a few smart phone OS's and unless you have a very small amount of content its not going to work as well as you think. So far on two android devices, one ios and one webOS device I've run into the same problem. Scrolling. It loads up fine, you can launch and control media just fine but you can't scroll the page to get to any additional content! What is shown on the first page is all you get.

If you want to control xbmc with your smartphone there are plenty of apps to do it, so if that's your major deciding factor I would start there. Big Grin

Hmm... I just cannot believe why would a browser (with such a small screen) be unable to scroll a web-page? Huh
