Now when you restart xbmc, any image you pause on will have a dds created. However be aware it will take a while to create a cache for each image, and also that a dds file is many times larger than its parent jpg or tbn.
I'm using this method on my atom and it makes a big difference when browsing library items with 1080 fanart.
I guess you didn't read the posts... I am using useddsfanart and I have stated numerous times that it does increase the browsing speed a whole lot. The problem is that it does not create a dds version of the backgrounds used by the skin. That's why the lag appears when browsing over the ".." and not when browsing among the regular movies. Read the posts before you answer, and you will save yourself a lot of time.
