FB seems to take forever to test the forum when trying to add it (but I did test it with a Gotham from git master build).
I might add that I didn't found the direct Tapatalk link when looking at the code of the main page so maybe that's the reason if so than I guess it doesn't worth checking.
It will tend to be slow when it fails, because it will be checking several more possible URLs.
