VideoResolutionSettings for LCD-TV on xbmc-linux

Thumbs Up
hi all,

i need your help.
I am running Debian Squeeze on my core i5 without additional graficcard (using the GPU of the CPU) and have installed XBMC-PVR testing2 with VDR.
My LCD-TV (Samsung A656) is connected over HDMI to my PC.

I am looking for a solution to get the right video resolution for the LCD-TV.
When i switch to 1920x1080 in xbmc i can not get a Fullscreen. XBMC will be displayed on just half of the screen.

Do you have any tips how i have to setup the correct resolution.
Do i have to create a xorg.conf with the neccessary settings?
How can i generate the needed settings?

Please let me know?

Thanks for help and this great XBMCproject

You can see which resolution is currently in use with xrandr, and you need xorg.conf to change default resolution, Xorg -configure.

@tume2: THX!

but i have to correct me, i just have a issue with dualscreenmonitor.
When i start my debian with xbmc just connected to LCD-TV over HDMI,
i can get a fullscreen.

But when i try to start xbmc with one monitor over DVI (1200x1024) and my LCD-TV (1920x1080) over HDMI connected, i can not get fullscreen of xbmc just on LCD-TV Sad

do you know how i have to configure to use both screens separatly?

THX 2 all
