I have now updated to the latest version, I`m running the latest stable of XBMC also.
But it still opens many tabs in Chrome, the same tab all the time.
This you can just look away from. I have found another solution for this.
I make an standalone launcher, chrome as app, then adds arguments: --app=http://www.xxx.xx/ (double space in the start)
Then it starts as an app with the X in upper right.
I was not able to reproduce your problem with Chrome on my Windows system (using Windows 8, XBMC 12.1, Advanced Launcher 1.13.1 and Chrome 26.0.1410.43 m). Always only single tab is opened into Chrome. There must be something wrong on your system configuration.

I have also testes the favourites, but all is also working correctly. If the RunPlugin() tips is not working, try to replace it by PlayMedia(). But in my case, both are able to start Chrome from favourites. Are you starting these favourites from XBMC list of from a skin shortcut entry/menu? Also, are you sure that your favourites still pointing to an existing launcher?

That's a common problem with Frodo. To correct this and recover your launchers, use the restore backup feature of Advanced Launcher. For this, go into Advanced Launcher add-on settings > Backup/Debug > Load a Backup launchers.xml file and select the launchers.xml file before the problem occurs. Backup files name are under this format : YYYYMMDD-HHMMSS-MILLISEC-launchers.xml.

Your log file shows errors from : script.traktr, weather.worldweatheronline and script.favourites. That could generate instabilites into XBMC. The error message related to Advanced Launcher is due to the fact that your launcher list have been deleted.

It is also possible to create a .lnk file pointing to chrome.exe with the url page as command line argument.

I did a bit of digging in the following...Roaming\XBMC\userdata\addon_data\plugin.program.advanced.launcher\backups....and I saw that all the scripts in that folder had what I mentioned on the previous post.
Each of the 50 roms or so that I added (All various formats), ended up having that name as the title. I'm suspecting it has something to do with NFO output from RCM as I used that to grab the online info first, before importing into Advanced Launcher.
I cured it by deleting them.
Thinking about it I should of saved it and sent it over to you, sorry.
FYI, I'm using Frodo 12.1 on Win 8 x64.
Sorry to waste your time replying.

I do not really understand your problem : .Roaming\XBMC\userdata\addon_data\plugin.program.advanced.launcher\backups only contain the backups of the launchers.xml file. Each time you modify the launchers.xml file (adding/editing/deleting a launcher or an item) a backup if made. Maybe the RCB NFO file strucuture have changed, and cannot be imported with actual version of Advanced Launcher.
