Scapers results are based on correspondance between your roms filename and the games name taken from online database. There is no game named Donkey Kong Country (U) (V1.2) [!] so scrapers could make some mistakes to identify a game with this filename. If you want a XBMC add-on supporting such features it will be better to use RCB, that is more dédicating to games management : http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=70115
I'm currently messing around with Advanced Launchers, and am very pleased with the results so far. However, I have a few questions:
First, I am messing around with a zsnes launcher. I have the basics covered, the launcher displays my ROM collection, and run the emulator as intended.
However, I am not completely satisfied with the results the scrapers return in "automatic mode". For those familiar with them, my ROMs are using GoodTools names (ie: Final Fantasy III (U) (V1.1) [!].zip).
The issue is, some games are not always recognized properly. For instance, Donkey Kong Country (U) (V1.2) [!].zip is recognized as Donkey Kong Country 3.
So my question is, which scrapers and settings are you using for ROMs in GoodSets "format"?
Second, can you "force" the scrapers to parse the country information and retrieve the appropriate boxcovers/fanarts/whatever when possible?
Third, I was browsing the gallery, and I stumbled upon this screenshot:
How do you do that! I haven't been able to find any information regarding that feature!
Thank you for your time! Et merci pour l'add-on!
Edit: I guess I could switch to the "No-Intro" ROMSet, but I'm not too sure I'll have better results...
For some scrapers (like Mobygame) you can define a prefered region for the covers (US vs. Europe vs. Japan) into Advanced Launcher settings.
Concerning multi-disc, multi-version support, differences must be indicated into the filename between brakets {}, like into these examples : http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1119085
