[CLOSED] Advanced Launcher - Applications Launcher Addon for XBMC
(2013-09-19, 16:50)IceCorp Wrote: Hi guys,

I'm really happy with XBMC and AL plugin, but I have some questions to make my interface works fine.

XBMC Version: 12.2
Skin: Aeon MQ4
AL Version: 2.0.12
View: Show Case
Style: Plot Style

As you can see below in Red, there are 2 space for a multimidia file (picture or video Huh), but I cannot find how.
Image

On xbmc.log, there are some line that shows some wrong configuration or something:

Code:
11:20:13 T:2412  NOTICE: Thread Jobworker start, auto delete: true
11:20:13 T:5084 WARNING: XFILE::CFileFactory::CreateLoader - Unsupported protocol(plugin) in plugin://plugin.program.advanced.launcher/extrathumbs/thumb1.jpg
11:20:13 T:3892 WARNING: XFILE::CFileFactory::CreateLoader - Unsupported protocol(plugin) in plugin://plugin.program.advanced.launcher/extrathumbs/thumb2.jpg
11:20:13 T:4852  NOTICE: Thread Jobworker start, auto delete: true </code>

I already tried put JPG file with same rom's name on:
<root rom>\Fanart
<root rom>\Fanart Extra
<root rom>\Fanarts
<root rom>\Thumbnails

And a MP4 file on:
<root rom>\Trailer

Is there another configuration to do or AL cannot show an image/video in this view ?

Thanks a lot

IceCorp
Just tested on my side. It is not working. It do not display the fanart even if it is defined in launcher or item setting and visible on other skins.
BTW, what this view (Plot Style) is supposed to display?

Concerning the log file :

Code:
plugin://plugin.program.advanced.launcher/extrathumbs/thumb1.jpg

do not correspond to nothing managed by Advanced Launcher. I think that this view is not dedicated too Advanced Launcher at all.

Yes, "Plot Style". Even with "Extra Thumbnail Style" it's not working.

I can't find any configuration do resolve that. I wanted put more than 2 images to each game (Cover and FanArt). Like: Back Cover, 3D Box, Snaps, logo or another artwork Smile to cause "Wowwwww!!!" effect in my friends.

But, if I use the same view in Movies, it works... as you can see:

Is there any Skin that these 2 or 4 Extra Thumbnail can be showed in Advanced Launcher?

Thanks a lot...

Advanced Launcher allow to manage extra fanart paths and trailer file path. Those paths can be defined into Advanced Modification context menu entry of each Launcher and items. Now... skins must support them. That the skin which define what has to be displayed or not. And for what I know, only Cirrus Extended skin is/was supporting extra fanarts and MP4 trailer files.
HI Angel just wanted to let you know that Advanced launcher works fine for PPSSPP now (at least on windows, can't test linux etc), might want to update the advanced launcher wiki.
No fancy arguments needed "%ROM" works fine (I have an ALT+F4 button to quit games and apps)

Looking forward to future versions, awesome work!
If you want to quit ppsspp using "esc"....

(2013-07-11, 12:06)bakito Wrote: hi everybody
I recently discover PPSSPP, an ( very good ) emulator for psp
You can get it there: http://www.ppsspp.org/
here is the script to make escape quitting the emulator: ( an autoit script ....)

HotKeySet("{ESC}", "Terminate")

If $CmdLine[0] == 1 Then
Run ( '"C:\jeux 3\emulation\psp\PPSSPPWindows64.exe" "' & $CmdLine[1] & '"', "C:\jeux 3\emulation\psp\" )
While 1
Sleep(100)
WEnd
EndIf

Func Terminate()
ProcessClose ( "PPSSPPWindows64.exe" )
Exit 0
EndFunc

( of course you have to change the pass to your folder tree )

you can leave the argument of advanced launcher as they are ( no argument to add)
and the rom file are iso or cso

you have to configure ppsspp to start fullscreen in his menu or by editing ppsspp.ini ( fullscreen=true)
and that's it!!
enjoy

PS: my script could be written better I 'm not a coder, if you have a more elegant one don't hesitate to share it!! although mine works like I want !
cheers
Why doesn't XBMC support native exe launching?
Hi Guys,

This is my first contribuition to this Addon.

I used as template, the pictures from the user middle (https://github.com/Middle/Game-Apps-Thumbs).

If you ask why XBMC not natively support executable files launching, I don't know, but Advanced Launcher addon is here to allow you to do it. So maybe it will be better to ask directly to XBMC devellopers.

If you want to start an executable file from Advanced Launcher, just create a stand-alone launcher. You will found several youtube tutorial one stand-alone launcher creation here : http://www.gwenael.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=176
Hello Angelscry

I wanted to know if the emulation of ps1 there is a possibility to change the disc, because I press esc it closes the emulator without returning to the menu...
Some games as Metal Gear Solid need an "hot swap" of discs so I can't use this game...
For others game as Final Fantasy I can save at the end of each disc, and I can load my save on the next CD (created in advanced Launcher as an other Game).

PS : I've tried ePSXe & PCSXR but the problem stay the same.

Thank you very much and sorry for my bad english, I'm french.

I don't think ePSXe and PCSXR allows to do this.
Thank you for your answer, do you know if there is a possibility to do this with another software ?
Or is it possible when I launch my emulator to freeze XBMC until I close the emulator ?

Edit :
I've tried a script =>

Named : Launcher.bat

pssuspend XBMC.exe
e: => Installation folder of my XBMC
cd "D:\Consoles\PlayStation\Emulateur\pcsxr" => Folder of my emulator
pcsxr.exe %1 => Emulator name
pssuspend -r XBMC.exe

I put the script in my ROM folder and the same script in my emulator folder, but it doesn't work.

No, I do not know any PSX emulator that allow you to switch between ISO files. But I know that other system emulators, like WinUAE for Amiga systems, are able to manage several ROM or ISO files at thr same time.

Concerning your script, try first to remove the e: line and try to add double quotes around the passed parameter (%1):

Code:
pssuspend XBMC.exe
cd "D:\Consoles\PlayStation\Emulateur\pcsxr"
pcsxr.exe "%1"
pssuspend -r XBMC.exe

Also take care to:

Not forget to replace the pcsxr.exe application by your Launcher.bat into Advanced Launcher.
And to check that Windows PSTools is installed into on your system (Windows directory)?

Also I have open a ticket on XBMC Bugtracker concerning the CPU usage of XBMC when this one is not used or is minimized. Normally with the future version of XBMC, this CPU usage will be drastically reduced, so the use of the pssuspend application may not be necessary anymore.
I know some type of hotswapping is available for Mednafen PSX and the retroarch Mednafen PSX core.

I've never really used it, so the specifics are second hand, but with Mednafen PSX you can load a playlist file which you can then cycle through afterwards. Retroarch's Mednafen PSX core can also load a playlist file, or you can go into rGUI (the in game menu that you can control with your joystick) and choose "Disk Options" then "Disk Image Append" and browse to the next game disc's image. You can then choose the "Disk Index" option to cycle to the next disk image.

I found some of the above here: http://forum.themaister.net/viewtopic.php?id=260

I'm fairly certain I've seen other discussions of it either on the themaister's forums or maybe in their wiki somewhere.
Hi Angels, it's me again!

Now When i try to change fanart or thumb by scrapper (manually works), i receive this message:

impossible assign thumb (or Fanart)

it's happens now, i create a launcher of final fantasy XIV and import thumb normally, but now, with Crysis 3, i try edit but don't Work... i tried again with others games and have same result!

I'm in the same directory ever, i launch with administrator...

i try reinstall XBMC but nothing Works!
