deleting launchers.xml and try again works. thanks.
steve1977 Wrote:Thanks, I will look into this. What are the parts, which will not work. My #1 priority will be WII/Dolphin. Will this work or should I set up a different Win7 setup? To be honest I do not know what is working and what is not working. Mostly because I do not have a Mac OSX system at home to test Advanced Launcher on it. Also I did not have received yet any posivite or negative feedbacks for advanced launcher on Mac OSX systems.
publicENEMY Wrote:deleting launchers.xml and try again works. thanks.Ok, I think that your launchers.xml file was still containing some errors generated by bugs from some older versions of Advanced Launcher. These errors make not work the actual version of advanced launcher. The faster way to solve this is to delete the launchers.xml file and start a new one.

moeff Wrote:i have a feature request is it possible to add a second start script to mount a iso or changing a graphic profile or something else infront of launching? Why do you want to add a second start script when you can do all this (mount/umount, load profile, wait, etc...) using only one script ?
it should be have a variable waiting time, before the typical game is starting.
pssuspend XBMC.exe
"C:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools Lite\DTLite.exe" -mount 0,%1
ncdz.exe
"C:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools Lite\DTLite.exe" -unmount 0
pssuspend -r XBMC.exe
publicENEMY Wrote:Hi, this addon is great. is it possible for it to automatically add games and automatically scrape games? i have hundreds of games installed and i would like to be able to add the applications quickly. thanks. excellent work and support. vote you for moderator.Of course you can. Do you read the user instructions ?? When you have created your files launcher, you have to go into advanced launcher settings and activate data, thumbs and fanart scraping options (automatic or semi-automatic) and then select the sources for each scraper. Then go into the launcher context menu then select Add Items / Scan for new items.
jsham Wrote:I'm having trouble with XBMC still receiving lirc commands after I launch a program (huludesktop).Instead of directly start huludesktop and let xbmc run in backgound you can use an intermediate script that will put xbmc into pause then start huludesktop. Then when huludesktop will be ended, XBMC will be resumed. Are you using a Windows or Linux system ?
When I press "ok" in hulu desktop, XBMC accepts the command and launches the application a second time.
Is there a way to make XBMC stop receiving lirc while the launched program is running?

publicENEMY Wrote:heres what i did.I tell you to create a files launcher not a stand-alone launcher. Here is the difference between standalone and files launchers : http://code.google.com/p/xbmc-advanced-l...rsCreation.
1. go to advance launcher
2. create new launcher
3. standalone
4. choose the executable file
5. configure argument and title of the application
6. select ibm pc as the system platform
7. edit launcher
8. modify datas info
9. import infos from allgame
10. enter search parameter
11. wait
12. select the correct game name
13. edit launcher
14. change thumbnail image
15. import from gamefaqs
16. enter search parameter
17. wait
18. select the correct thumb
19. edit launcher
20. change fanart image
21. import from gamefaqs
22. enter search parameters
23. wait
24. preview the fanart in a very small image window
25. select the desired fanart
26. done
do i have to do all this for every game that i own? i have hundreds of game and these steps are overkill. wouldn it would be nice if i can just select the main folder(topmost path that contains all games in its subfolder) for scraping, just like when adding movie to movie library? i did set the scraper to do automatic scraping, but i dont see any difference. nothing is scraped automatically. i even did restart xbmc to see whether it would scrape when first launch, but no.
thanks.
twotone8 Wrote:quick question. does this addon support goodmerged rom sets? that us multiple versions of the same game merged into some sort of zip file? how would i go about setting something like this up?Yes it will be effectively a nightmare... Also the goal of Advanced launcher is to start correctly start applications not at all to manage rom files, goodmerged sets or multi-ziped files. Maybe you can do this using your proper intermediate bash script (.bat or .sh). I'm not sure, but I think Rom Collection Browser support these features : http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=70115
also, what about mame setups? i think in those cases several versions of a game are merged into a zip file. only one file (the parent rom) is actually playable. each additional file is a slight variation which somehow relies on the parent rom to function properly.
sounds like a coding nightmare to get something like this working.
