I have never use it yet, and my question is : where will be located the applications you want to start using Advanced Launcher : Harddrive? Live CD? USB key? I think the limitations will not come from XBMC or Advanced Launcher but the applications you want to start. Those ones, most of the time, NEED to be installed somewhere.
XBMCLive is certainly not used as a quick demo
I don't think I'm exaggerating when I'm saying that most people with a dedicated HTPC will use XBMCLive, since they don't need the UI of the underlying OS. In my case, I want a quick way to load XBMC, which is why I installed it on my HTPC.
It will boot directly into XBMC and I never 'see' anything from Linux. It is just a minimal linux install with xbmc installed, you just don't have the UI. You can imagine that especially for us, Advanced Launcher comes in handy.
There is no official Spotify plugin (yet I hope, I still wonder why no developer creates this), so using advanced launcher to launch the official linux spotify could come in handy.
I see you updated the plugin, let me try to create it again and see if it works now!
Update: Even though I can now select the Linux platform, it still doesn't work. The screen refreshes for a moment and then I'm back in the launcher select menu. Could someone please check if Spotify works?
