tododo Wrote:There is nothing in the launchers.xml at the moment - i removed everything hoping that the advanced launcher would recreate the configNo, the launchers.xml file must not be empty. If you want to remove everything you have just to delete it.
tododo Wrote:i put some config in there previously myself from previous posts on this thread but that didnt seem to work - had to do this as nothing was working for meThat's not the way Advanced Launcher is working. You do not need to constantly edit the launchers.xml file to add stuff. All could be done from the XBMC GUI.
tododo Wrote:Hang on - Ive just rebooted this morning and now its gone further - its comming up with launcher type now - so it looks like its working I guessIf you previously change several time the version of XBMC, it could be possible that it was the problem.
I wonder if it just needed a restart or something - odd
tododo Wrote:Now if I can get some guidance on getting chromium to workThere is a wiki page for Chromium configuration as file launcher: http://www.gwenael.org/xbmc/index.php?ti...wser#Linux
You can also create a stand alone launcher :
- Application : /usr/bin/chromium
- Arguments : -kiosk "www.xbmc.org"
tododo Wrote:Further update - tried switching back to Aoen MKII and it crashes XBMC again - now back on confluence and it is at least bring up some dialogue boxesIf XBMC/Advanced Launcher works with Confluence default skin but not with Aeon MK2 skin, that's because there is a bug into Aeon MK2 skin.
tododo Wrote:Sorry about this further update - ok i have chrome opening now, however Im getting the same problem as I was when using firefox under the executor addon the browser only opens up in half of the available screenThats a problem with your Ubuntu system. XBMC and the windows manager under which Chromium is running are not using the same resolution. Switch the windows manager to the same resolution as XBMC.
Its a 40inch TV and only half of it is used - the text is tiny - anybody have any idea
tododo Wrote:here my launchers.xml - I havent created the individual html files yet as Im not sure what directory to put them in - would rather get this going full screen first if possiblePlease stop edit the launchers.xml file manually if you do not know what you are doing. Even me, I do not edit manually this file. There is dedicated option into Advanced Launcher to edit all the launchers.xml tags :
