I searched the forums didn't didn't see this questions.

So I am using both CouchPotato and SickBeard. What happens is sometimes they download an SD version of a show or movie, as the HD version isn't available. They update XBMC and the show/movie show up. I watch the item, and sometime in the future CP or SB find a better quality version, download it and swap out the lower quality. They update XBMC, but XBMC shows both files in the library, the SD version is marked watched and the HD version is unwatched. Doing a library cleanup removes the watched version, but then the HD version is flagged as unwatched. Is there any work around to fix this?

I dont see a simple solution to this problem (which I dont really think it's a problem)

i think the same would happen if you just remove an episode/movie from the library and re-add it, you will lose your watched flag on that episode/movie.

the new version of the file is considered a new episode/movie for xbmc.

The watched flag is based of the filename so a new quality will normally end-up in a new filename (including quality and a different extension)
