Hi there,
I have just installed XBMC Live Dharma (on my hard drive) instead of Win7+XBMC for Win.
It's really faster than my Win version. My hardware is AsRock 330.
But after the fresh install, I had no sound with HDMI or SPDIF.
I had to ssh the box (is there a direct way to get the terminal from box?) and had to enter alsamixer to unmute SPDIF to get sound.
Moreover, I had to use "Numérique" source instead of SPDIF in System/Audio preferences. (My system is in French, I guess "Numérique" is for "Digital" in English. There are 3 options - HDMI / Optical-SPDIF and "Numérique".).
This option lets me choose the option AC3 Passthrough. Otherwise I don't have 5.1 on my amp. With SPDIF option, I only have 2.0.
It works perfectly now, but I wanted to know whether if was a normal behaviour or not?
