Windows Auto Shutdown based on activity
#1
Hello, i have 3 MCE's in my home, 1 master and 2 slaves.
I have noticed that when the master (Running Windows Server 2008 RC2) and slave (Windows 7) have been running for a few days will the movie playback start to lag, but after a restart of the computer will it run fine again.
So i where wondering if there are a way to make my MCE computers shutdown automatic at 3 AM for an example, but there are a kicker, i sometimes stay up until 6 AM, where i will be using my Media Center by ether watching movies directly on it or streaming, and i of cause don't want it do reboot if that is the case.
Do any 1 know of a program that can do this?

You could use the Windows Task Scheduler to run the command:

shutdown /r /t 0

at 03:00. In Win7 (not sure about XP) there is an option to start the task only if the computer has been idle for a specified time.
