Hey guys, I'm having a problem getting "The Event" show to be recognized by XBMC. The file name seems fine...

The.Event.S01E01.HDTV.XviD-LOL.avi
Try to rename the file from The.Event.S01E01.HDTV.XviD-LOL.avi
to The.Event.S01E01.avi

Interesting - Event is not listed in the log at all.

Can you do this to help isolate?

Leaving debugging on, close out XBMC (this starts a new log). Copy the event folder, but just leave the one Event file in it. Open up XBMC, add that folder as a TV source, checking "Run automated scan".

Let it scan. Upload the xbmc log at that point, and shoot the link back?

Cool thanks...

Just looking at the pastebing by Cntrl + F, and searching for event, and hitting next until the first one I see that's relevant:

It's searching for your title .....The.Event.S01E02.HDTV.XviD-LOL.avi

19:47:07 T:139977203894016 M:1063907328 DEBUG: VideoInfoScanner: No NFO file found. Using title search for '/home/bash/Videos/The Event/The.Event.S01E02.HDTV.XviD-LOL.avi'
19:47:07 T:139977203894016 M:1063907328 DEBUG: InternalFindMovie: Searching for 'the event s01e02' using The TVDB scraper (path: '/home/bash/.xbmc/addons/metadata.tvdb.com', content: 'tvshows', version: '1.1.0')
19:47:07 T:139977203894016 M:1063907328

It gets back the%20event%20s01e02

DEBUG: scraper: CreateSearchUrl returned <url>http://www.thetvdb.com/api/GetSeries.php?seriesname=the%20event%20s01e02&amp;language=en</url>
19:47:07 T:139977203894016 M:1063907328 DEBUG: FileCurl::Open(0x7f4efb83a140) http://www.thetvdb.com/api/GetSeries.php?seriesname=the%20event%20s01e02&language=en

and then report that's found no new information:
No (new) information was found in dir /home/bash/Videos/The Event/

So, it's scraping, posting, and getting info back for S01E02, correctly I believe (please anyone correct if necessary!!!!).

But you were originally trying to get The.Event.S01E01.HDTV.XviD-LOL.avi in the library, right?

That might be a red herring, though. Can you confirm that you don't have "Hide Watched" checked?

I was trying to get any episode to get recognized. I have all 10.

Edit: I'm positive I don't have hide watch checked. In either case I didn't watch it so how could it be watched?

Edit: NVM it found it now :/ I didn't change anything though.
