Sound Muted in Resume with XBMC 10 Live
#1
Question
Hello,

I am having an issue that when I resume XMBC 10 Live from suspend that the SPDIF in my alsamixer is muted. I can easily go to a terminal screen and unmute the sound, but its starting to get annoying.

Does anyone know of a way to unmute it or to restore the alsa settings in a resume? I stored the alsa settings but I think they only get loaded on boot.

Thanks,
Jim

After further research. It looks like the sound is not muted after all. Unfortunately, the sound does not come through the hdmi. This happens only on resume. I can leave the machine running for days straight and get sound when I play a movie. The hdmi audio gets killed on suspend and then resume. The mixer levels are fine and the audio settings are the same and have not changed in XBMC. I don't know if this is an ubuntu issue or an xmbc issue.
