When I first built my HTPC, I went with the mistake of going low powered, and in turn scrolling through box covers with Aeon was terrible. I upgraded to a 3ghz C2D and everything was as smooth as silk.
I'm looking to buy a notebook in the near future and I want it to handle XBMC with the Aeon skin in 1080p as well. The Intel i3-370M and i5-480M seem to be the most common notebook processors and I was wondering if anybody had any feedback on how well they will perform for my needs. I'd like to keep price as low as possible as this is just a temporary notebook into Intel cleans up their Sandy Bridge fiasco.
