Hardware shutdown button not working in XBMC
#1
I am running XBMC as a standalone application in Ubuntu 10.10.
If I press the press the hardware power button on my revo 3610 outside of XBMC, the computer goes to sleep.
When I press the soft shutdown button in XBMC, the computer goes to sleep.

When I press the hardware power button when in XBMC nothing happens.

Anyone know how to solve this?

Thanks,

Ariel.

Still having the same issue and I searched for hours and haven't found any solution to this.

Surely some people are trying to shutdown XBMC from the hardware power button and it's not working for them either.
This is on an acer revo 3610, running Lucid 10.04 and Dharma.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Thanks,

Ariel

If I remember right
System - Preferences - Power Management

Then click the General tab. There is an option there under Actions.
"When the power button is pressed"
Set it to Shutdown and see what happens.
