Hello,

after apt-get update and upgrade xbmc isn't booting. Just a blackscreen.

XMBC is installed on an USB stick.

Maybe someone can help ?

I can see grub.

If I select XMBC for booting, screen turns black. USB stick is blinking like it boots normaly and stops after 3 minutes.

No connect via ssh possible.

I think we all know what "isnt booting" means

other details.

do you think you did something? what did you do.......etc.

it was working then you rebooted and nothing?......etc

elaborate please, provide information

Live or what dude. lets have some details.

If its live you likely learned a lesson the hard way.

Dont do what you did.

sudo apt-get upgrade

Next time you will find out the correct way and do it right.

What was it you were trying to accomplish by doing that?

What was your method of installing your video card driver? If an nvidia driver is installed manually, and the kernel is updated, you have to rebuild and install the kernel module again.

Yes it is the Live version installed on an USB stick.
Why I shouldn't do a

sudo apt-get upgrade ?

And what's the correct way to update ?
