please rwead what I posted you need to

1) sudo apt-get install policykit-1 upower -y

2) sudo cd /var/lib/polkit-1/localauthority/50-local.d/

3) sudo wget -nc -q http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4325533/XCI/custom-actions.pkla

then you must add your user to power permissions as it is detailed in the link...

sudo polkit-auth --user xbmc --grant org.freedesktop.hal.power-management.suspend
sudo polkit-auth --user xbmc --grant org.freedesktop.hal.power-management.hibernate
sudo polkit-auth --user xbmc --grant org.freedesktop.hal.power-management.reboot
sudo polkit-auth --user xbmc --grant org.freedesktop.hal.power-management.shutdown
sudo polkit-auth --user xbmc --grant org.freedesktop.hal.power-management.reboot-multiple-sessions
sudo polkit-auth --user xbmc --grant org.freedesktop.hal.power-management.shutdown-multiple-sessions

Please confirm you did all steps and post results.

details are described here http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Ubu...end_/_Wake

X3lectric,

Thanks for al suggestions. I finaly solved this problem but I did give it a try in a different direction.

I disabled the USB 3.0 ports on my Asrock 3D and that solved the problem. I am a verry happy person now.

Thanks for you're support !!!

I have done according to your suggestions but still no luck. For me when you try to suspend ... followed by a moment of suspension of a black screen about 2 seconds and return to the xbmc :-(
Perhaps the fault lies in the grub options. AutoResume error. I do not know how to fix it.

The success of all works OK! .Laugh Big Grin
The error was on the side of the motherboard AT5IONT-I and the exact BIOS. Just turn off the option in the BIOS - USB3 (disable!). I still have to check everything because I upgraded the kernel / alsa / nvidia ... and carefully made a downgrade the 2.6.32-32 kernel to: 2.6.32-22-generic # 36-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jun 3 10:02:19 p.m. UTC 2010
I hope that others helped with the Asus motherboards AT5IONT-I
Good luck!
