I enabled <displayremotecode> in my advancedsettings.xml to try to troubleshoot a button press issue. For some reason, nothing shows up on screen. Is there something I'm missing?

The setting is only for the XBox.

If you turn on debug logging your xbmc.log should tell you what button is being pressed on the remote.
