LArge number of unsorted avi files in one folder
#1
Hi,

I have a large number of names avi files in a folder /avi together. Each one is named after the film but none have .nfo or .tbh files associated with them. Most of my other films are stored as folder names with a single file inside them. XBMC is not picking up the .avi folder correctly. I have the /avi folder located within my /movies folder where all my other films are too.

Is it possible to get xbmc to detect all my films in .avi, download the .nfo and .tbn and hopefully even create a folder for each of the films and move them so they are just in single folders with film, nfo and tbn files much like the rest of my media?

If xbmc can't do this is there another linux program that can?

XBMC will do this just fine - just make sure you don't have "use foldernames for lookups" enabled. XBMC will then use the filenames for your media.
