A mate runs a school camp and I've been giving him a hand to set up a pool of iPads which is going great so far. He'd also like to setup a TV screen in the dining room which plays a promotional video on a loop and runs a ticker tape across the bottom of the screen with latest news, activity updates etc. Preferably automated so all the staff have to do is turn it on in the morning.

I presume this would be possible with an ATV and am wondering if there are already plugins that can do this? Or do we need to develop our own?

Pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated!

this looks like something well beyond the scope of XBMC, but I suppose it could be done if you feel like creating an app from scratch.. not sure if anything already exists that will do this.
