Thanks for the info. It's like waiting for x-mas as a kid.
Whats wrong with this file that makes atv2 xbmc make it stutter (video only, quite weird to see hehe) so much?

Hi Keith,

I know it may be early in development to discuss plugins but...
The bluecop repo offers streaming TV channels but for some reason there are handshaking issues on ATV2 which from what i've been able to tell are caused by RTMP. Is it possible (if you have time of course) to take a look at this issue and perhaps address a possible fix. Thanx for all your hard work.
Memphiz Wrote:It think it has to many ref frames ... but better wait for davillas comment here ... and if i remember correct atv2 can only hw decode up to profile 4.1 as of spec

I have several 720p x264 [email protected] movies played without stuttering on atv2.
And had many 720p x264 L4.1 with dropped frames every 20-30 secs though...

Hello, I have tried but ot does not work for me.
If I long press select xbmc go to the main movies menu

How many reference frames/MaxDpbMbs determine corresponding profile? I'm assuming # ref-frame=h.264 profile (3.1/4.1/5.1).

Davilla has stated the aTV 2 can handle 5.1 (MaxDpbMbs 184,320).

It's a sort of intermediate long press, not as long as you are doing but still longer than a quick press. You'll get the hang of it.
I have a question about subtitles on 720p mkv's (anime) I know they dont work..
However on the 2-1-11 build Subtitles use to work, not perfect but they worked. Is their a way to implement what was done to get it to work again on the builds again. or is their a way to go back to this build. i dont think its saved anywhere..
I don't know abou others but subtitles work fine here on 720p mkv here.
SSA/ASS subtitles do not work and it would be nice if we could grab a copy of the 2-1-11 xbmc build.

Thanks.
Looks like (I think?) the latest Eden (June 12) nightly upped the database again, version 51 to version 52, thus my Apple TV 2 boxes are no longer working with MySQL libraries.

Any chance of a new build soon?

I'd guess the folks not using a remote library would like to give the new build a try. Probably best to not post it as latest_atv2.deb, hopefully that'll prevent the complaints from people that aren't aware of the remote library issue.
Alright folks, as promised, the new builds.

So with Remote Library, when I load my advancedsettings.xml that has pathsub and mysql defined in, it crashes on startup on ATV2.
Now the OSX nightly at least will run, but as soon as I tell it to start indexing data it crashes a few moments later.

Vdrfan mentioned theres some crashing related to the latest scraper abstraction merge for media indexing. So you guys may want to hold off a little.
Once that stablizes I will replace latest_atv2.deb and latest_ios.deb.

ATV2: http://hadm.net/~keith/xbmc_atv2/.tmp/or...v2-arm.deb

iOS: http://hadm.net/~keith/xbmc_atv2/.tmp/or...os-arm.deb

The new horizontal skin is awesome imo. JSON stuff, among other things I'm sure have been added in. Rumor has it a new official may be coming out soon so I plan on revving builds more often now that I'm back in town and caught up.
Edit: I think slingbox support may be in, saw some libraries with sling in the name scroll by anyways..
