agjh Wrote:Sorry for the complete noob question - have downloaded this latest build per link supplied but not sure how to adjust the commands so that I can pull this from my windows network drive as opposed to getting via Keiths normal internet link. Usual commands are:
wget http://hadm.net/~keith/xbmc_atv2/latest_atv2.deb
dpkg -i latest_atv2.deb
rm latest_atv2.deb
In my case the file is now sitting in shared folder at \\hodge-main\xbmc
Any assistance to my ignorance in unix type commands/structure greatly appreciated.
Well, you could just use the following commands on the ATV2 using putty(or similar):
wget http://dl.dropbox.com/u/31328853/latest_atv2.deb
dpkg -i latest_atv2.deb
rm latest_atv2.deb
doesn't use the copy on your computer (downloads a new one), but works the same.
Edit: Should note that this is the May 16th build, not the latest that Keith posted just prior to his host screwing him over.
