I have actually managed to resolve the problem of any videos I launch through icefilms crashing by simply factory resetting the appletv2 and loading just the official stable build. However, of course this still limits me from using the latest skins/other features in the nightly build.
As a result, I factory reset my apple tv and once again tried to get the nightly build going by following the steps posted below:
EDIT: jailbreak instructions removed because they're off topic and incorrect (missing step to install official XBMC build which is required before installing an unofficial build, ref)
After all of this, once again, my videos crash immediately when loading through icefilms and I still cannot install the bulk of skins out there as I'm still getting a dependencies not met notification.
Not sure where I'm lacking in my steps above. I'm at work so I will post the debug log later this evening once I'm back home if anyone can help. In the mean time, can anyone comment on potential steps that I'm missing/where I've gone wrong?
