Just purchased a 40 GB ATV1 off ebay, will be here later this week.

Just looking for suggestions as to where to begin with XBMC ? From what I can tell, it has version 3.0.2 of the ATV software installed. I will eventually be upgrading the video card (when I get some more $$$). Not really looking to use the existing Apple software for much of anything (not interested in using Itunes or buying/renting movies).

if you want to play hd content you need to pick up a crystal hd card.

sorry, meant to say if you want to play 1080 then you need the crystal hd card.

OK, got XBMC installed on my ATV and it's working well. However, I'd like to install the IceFilms add-on. How do I push the zip file over to the ATV ?

Connect to the ATV via SFTP (Download Filezilla for PC or Cyberduck on Mac) then drag & drop. There are detailed guides out there.
