Hard Drive Help

Hi,

I have just installed XBMC as a standalone on a new machine, and I have all my media on a second hard drive in the same machine however XBMC wont recognise the hard drive with my media on it, is there a way around this.

Thanks

Your second hard drive, what type of file system does it have? FAT? FAT32? NTFS? EXT3/4?
Either way you need to mount the hard drive.

Hi Vicious thanks for the quick reply,

The 2nd HDD is Fat32 formatted, is there a way to automount it when XBMC starts thanks.

To automount you need to remove the "nodiskmount" from the grub command. Many people prefer to mount it fixed in fstab instead. (google "fstab ubuntu" for instructions)
You can also mount it already in the installer in the partitioner.
