I usually let my HTPC on but last couple of weeks i get a strange thing happening

when i sometimes watch a movie the framerate will go from aprox 23.98fps to 23.10 to 24.50 to 23.90 to .....
always like +/- 1fps causing a light stutter

its resolved by rebooting my HTPC

is there any solution for this or what is causing this ?

i'm running latest catalyst drivers , original ones had the same

More RAM might help

I think 4GB of Ram is plenty. Post a log from when it happens. That may give a clue. Also ATI cards seem to have the hardest time with proper video playback. You may need to check all the various driver settings.

Also experiencing this, no resolution but a reboot. Mine only occurs after around a week of being on. You could always schedule a reboot every few days over night?

Is a reboot really necessary or does restarting JUST XBMC enough to clear it?
