[IPAD] I changed skins and now I cant migrate in XBMC
#1
I changed from Confluence to Transparency! then to Alaska (I think) - just looking around for what fits best on iPad.
Anyways the last skin I installed, XBMC starts but I cannot press any "buttons" to get off main screen. The clock works, I just cant migrate off the main page.

What external file can I alter to go back to Confluence?

Thank you

I've gotten around that problem by, via a utility such as Cyberduck (Putty will work on Windows), navigating to the iPad's files system to /Private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/XBMC/userdata and open the file guisettings.xml. In that file, go to the <lookandfeel> section and replace "Alaska" with "confluence" (ignore quotation marks).

Now scroll down to the <skinsettings> section and delete all lines that have "...skin.alaska.xxx" (ignore quotes and note that the original lines for Confluence in this section should still be there).

When complete, save this back to your iPad, fire-up XBMC with a fresh launch, and you should be good to go.

Or the easy (lazy) way I use. Just delete the guisettings.xml file with http://cydia.saurik.com/package/eu.heinelt.ifile from Cydia and it will revert back to a fresh Confluence when you boot XBMC.

+1 to that. Only problem is that with this skin my iPad now seems to have become property of my girlfriend Laugh
