Need help please...

I have a custom build PC with an i7 930 CPU, 12 GB RAM, dual x460 Nvidia cards in SLI. I have it connected to a 46 inch LG LCD via HDMI and I use XBMC as a media player all on Windows 7 64 bit.

All my shows/movies are 720p or 1080p MKV's stored locally on the hard drive.

I am seeing "jitteriness" or slight stuttering when playing most of these HD mkv rips.

I am not sure what to check or even what the "best" settings are for this setup. But I surely would not expect this hardware to have any issues playing any file... CPU usage is near idle when playing...

Any help would be appreciated...

If you get judder on slow panning scenes try going into System settings, Video, Playback and enabling the settings Adjust display refresh rate to match video.

Also check System settings, System, Video output and make sure sure the setting Use a fullscreen window rather than true fullscreen is disabled.

Thanks and I had those two settings set the way mentioned.

I have googled and looked for solutions for this for quite some time and figured I'd come to the source to ask for help.

I have my refresh rate for the TV set to 24 hz, is there anything else I should check or tweak?
