Hi all
To those of you running an asus e35m1-i deluxe and XBMC 10.1 & Windows 7 X64.
With the onboard-built-in Realtek 8111E NIC, no matter what I did, I could not get reliable / useable HD live-real-time streaming working - I tried every setting / tweak under the sun - all to no avail.
I then installed a TPlink PCIe Gigabit NIC card [ which ironically has the same Realtek 8111E chipset ] into the PCIe slot and disabled the onboard NIC.
Things were much better, but still not perfect.
Then, thanks to " Jetster " who posted in another thread re: this issue, I noticed he was using the following drivers:-
http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList/Dri...111_w7.exe
Despite being for Gigabyte MB there were for the Realtek 8111D chipset.
Any way, I DL them, they installed in the ASUS MB no problem and recognised the 8111E also no problem.
The only tweak I did was to go in and disable all the green / energy wake on / off settings.
Result
So far - after 2 nights of testing - perfect HD live-real-time streaming from the net and other addons.
In short:-
- I disabled the onboard Realtek NIC
- installed the TPlink Gigabit NIC TG 3468 http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/detai...el=TG-3468 (cost ~$18 from memory)
- installed these drivers => http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList...ek_8111_w7.exe
- in the NIC Settings, I turned-off / disabled all the green / energy wake on / off settings.
All working perfect.
Hope this helps others.
Ben
