Can you only change view types in Library Mode?

Its just so confusing. I dont really care for library mode. Because it doesn't show TV shows and I change those often. I like to separate my HD films from my others. I really liike the shelf mode with the drop down of the description and trailer though. Very nice. But I can only select it in Library mode? Also the menu is really jumpy and fast. Not as smooth

Just spend some hours and install various skin, don't be fixed in just one. Aeon mq2 is a real heavy skin. You should try aeon nox or mq3.
And yes, big part of the views are for library mode, else someone edits the xml for files.
