USB Hard Drive doesn't show up in Video Files list

On Ubuntu running XBMC when I insert any USB flash or Hard Drive it automatically shows up in XBMC's Video-Files menu. On Windows XP SP3, it shows only USB flash drives and NOT the USB Hard Drive.

Is this as per the design or something is missing?
