Hi,
I have just finished ripping my Wonders of the solar system from Bluray to MKV and when I play via xbmc i get sound but no video Huh anyone else had this problem? I have never encounterd this b4

I have just found out that its a problem with ffmpeg not being able to play back VC-1 interlaced material Sad.. Anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get around this??

Use a tool like handbrake to convert the video to h264.

Handbrake will choke on the interlaced VC1.

Only solution I found for this is to use Ripbot264...much slower than HB for my setup but it worked.

I use HB for everything else - just not that particular cat.
If I helped out pls give me a +

A bunch of XBMC instances, big-ass screen in the basement + a 20TB FreeBSD, ZFS server.
