4.4.1/4.4.2 XBMC install issues
#1
Hi

I just made the mistake of updating my ATV2 to 4.4.1, I was able to jailbreak just fine but I cannot get XBMC to install. I have followed the following 2 thread w/o success.

Any help is much appreciated.

This thread reboots the ATV2 and shows the plug in screen on the reboot

This thread I get 404 errors on the 1st wget?

Leave the reboot until after you have updated to the nightly build. It is only needed to stop the updates from dumping you out of xbmc.

4.4.x is a tethered boot atm. Not much you can do about that except plug it in again or flash back to 4.3.

I'd either go back to 4.3 or forward to 4.4.2 since you might as well a) get an untethered jailbreak or b) get the most recent tethered jailbreak.

I've followed this to a t on an ATV2 with 4.4.2

Rebooting after both the base cydia installs and the nightly install of XBMC, but each time I try to start XBMC it acts like it's going to and then crashes back to the main ATV2 screens.

Any thoughts?

could be a bad jailbreak. In order to jailbreak the software has to do funny things, and sometimes they don't go so well, so you have to rejailbreak.
