Phantom Key Presses

I've got a weird problem. I've been running XBMC on Ubuntu for months now without any major issues. This morning, however, I go to watch a show and XBMC is activating menus on its own as if someone is pressing a key. If I leave XBMC alone, it keeps going to the System Info page.

I rebooted XBMC and my PC - no luck.

It's not my wireless keyboard because I removed the batteries and XBMC is still doing it.

I disconnected my Android XBMC software from the PC but that didn't help.

Now, I'm out of ideas.

I'm still not sure what the cause was, but it has since stopped.

When this issue was occurring, I did also quit XBMC and opened up a text editor to see if I could capture the key presses. Nothing showed up.

next time disable the web interface, maybe somebody in your wifi clicking on the remote? Or even json-rpc? Is your xbmc published via zeroconf? I would first check with tcpdump or better if you have IDS logs.
