Hi,

Just got an AVT2 this week, all setup and working great with XBMC (much thanks to this place!)

The only thing that was bugging me was the ATV2 remote. Fine, but when I want to enter text/numbers etc for a search or anything, its a bit of a pain.

Anyone have any good tips for apps to hook my iPad up and use that?

Constellation for XBMC, and Apple's own Remote for controlling the ATV2's native interface. Those are the two best apps I've tried, but then again I haven't tried any of the apps that you have to pay for, since I don't feel I'm lacking anything in these free ones...

I like using RowMote for the iPad....also for the fact that it is universal.

I used to use the XBMC Commander ... I switched recently to XBMC Constellation beacause of the better usability / looks more stylish.

I also like the xbmc remote (iphone) because it has a configurable remote UI. You can rearrange buttons on the UI and add new ones (by using web-service calls)

I like Remote HD because it displays the TV screen on the iPad. So if I just want to run Pandora, I don't have to turn on the TV.
