Sup guys, just wanted to give you an update on the situation...
first, here's some screenies for those who might not have looked at them --> http://imgur.com/a/nsbxJ

ok, First, the PINK issue after win logo at startup.
not my XFX's fault.
Pink issue doesnt occur when HTPC is hooked to my LG PC monitor.
only occurs when hooked to my SAMSUNG HDTV.
So, im reading that other people have this issue too
with ATI HD6450 + SAMSUNG.
whats going on exactly im not sure..
all i know now is that my GPU is not culprit.
at least hardware wise..
if its software well, ATI needs to look into this, hopefully.

so, after installing my HD6450 + its drivers,
HTPC wouldnt boot windows at all!
issues was?
at first i thought my ssd was gone bad.
god i was mad!
but then, i thought u know what, might be driver conflict...
i thought i had removed all Nvidia drivers/softwares from my HTPC....
BIOS would post, but no windows showing up!
i had a nice Jet Black screen instead!
after a couple of physical power down and up,
i did get into windows somehow,
but the startup sound was sounding weird...
and it would only start to play from the middle kinda...

So i unleashed my last resort weapon...
DRIVE SNAPSHOT to the rescue!!
booted on my recovery usb stick,
and restored my C drive using a backup image file of it i made weeks ago.
(for those who dont now how to do this, just PM me)

once backup re-installed, i rebooted but quickly got into the BIOS,
i triple-checked to make sure onboard video was enabled,
and then i powered down my machine.
then i removed HD6450 GPU from it,
and i powered it on again...
finally, windows got restored just fine!
i now had a working HTPC again!
FTW!!

now i rebooted the machine to enter in SAFE MODE,
uninstalled Nvidia drivers from there, making sure i removed all this time.
then powered OFF my HTPC.
installed HD6450 in it.
then Power ON, make it into normal windows, which it did without a hitch!
then, installed ATI drivers...

Man, what a road trip..
was my GPU bad? nope!!
would i buy it again? hell yah!!

GPU is cooL and plays anything flawlessly!
and best thing of all --> im now Macro-Free!!
FTW!!

So, to ALL HTPC lovers out there, i got only 1 thing to say,
MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR O/S !!
it'll save your life!!

Yes! very much!
and also, i forgot to add,

with my GT210 GPU, for some reason,
u know the sound that windows makes when u enter a folder
or double-click on something?
well, that sound wouldnt play/hear it..
never knew why...

I just noticed that now, with my HD6450,
that sound is back!!
FTW!!!

remember, MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR O/S !!

Hey... I noticed that you made sure your onboard video was enabled.. Y? If your using a peripheral GPU Y would on-board video need to be enabled? I turned mine off upon first BIOS post.. I was "noobier" then and i just figured it should be off.. and it has always posted fine with both NVIDIA and ATI card. Maybe just lucky!

i had to check if my onboard VGA was enabled
because thats the only way i could get an image appearing on my PC monitor
when performing NVIDIA drivers removall procedure in SAFE MODE...

I have the same issue (pink screen for a split second after windows logo) with my XFX HD 6450 and a Philips TV. I had a Nvidia GT430 installed before and switched to the HD 6450 because the GT430 was very loud.

Maybe it can be fixed with a fresh installation of windows? I doesn't seem to be related to the TV brand.

Btw I'm using Windows 7 Professional 64bit.

I smell EDID between your HD6450 and Samsung HDTV. I didn't know it could be this difficult to install a new GPU. It usually take me very little time to install a new GPU with w7! Smile
>Alienware X51- do it all HTPC
>Simplify XBMC configurations
>HOW-TO Bitstreaming using XBMC
I refused to watch movie without bitstreaming HD audio!
