Hi,

Resurrecting an old thread here......

I'm currently looking at building my second htpc in the house to run xbmc. I'm looking down the route of building another myself along the lines of a streacom fc8 or 7, mini itx etc or the xh61v. Has anyone had much experience with the xh61v as there doesn't seem to be a huge amount of user feedback across the net? Main concern being the noise of the two fans and psu reliability....

Whichever route I go I'll be using a intel celeron G620 using the onboard gpu, 4gb ram and either a 64 or 128 ssd and maybe a blu ray drive. I'll be running windows 7 pro 32 bit. Connection is straight to the tv at 1080p over hdmi, no 3d, and audio for the short time will be using tv speakers. Long time probably a DAC and decent stereo setup.

Cost wise the shuttle works out cheaper when you start adding the pico psu and mb to a streacom case. If I did go the streacom route the fanless fc8, I believe would be the one to go for as time I add a decent cooler, and some decent fans that's 50 quid gone there!

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
