I've discovered that I get silky smooth playback of 24fps material if I start the film then alt/tab to the desktop (which reverts to the desktop resolution of 60hz) then alt / tab back to the film and 24hz again.
The film is then a delight to behold. This happens with aero on or off. If I don't do this its juddery as heck.
I noticed somebody else had this problem a while ago but there was no real solution posted. Has anybody else has found this?
I'll post a log when I can get to my HTPC
