My main system is an HTPC and I love it. I'm looking to add a secondary system in the bedroom on an old 720P TV.

What is the least expensive solution for low-footprint XBMC hardware that will play back 35mbps MKVs from MakeMKV blu-ray rips?

I understand the ATV2 would not be up to the task. Will an ATV3, once jailbroken, suffice? If not, what do you suggest?

Me three. I many fall back to an ATV1 on Ebay. I figured an ATV3 would be great once jailbroken, so I'm waiting for that.
