The price always start off high with any new product.....it's very similar price as iPad- Microsoft Surface vs Apple iPad........

It'll go down a bit later......

I am looking forward to Windows 8 tablets, not just the Surface. I'd really like to get someone special one for Christmas. I am also curious for final specs on the Surface because so far neither the RT or Pro has HDMI (though the Pro has a DisplayPort).

Did you see how I'm planning to connect it to AVR/HDTV in the first post? It included Micro HDMI output- Surface: Microsoft-Made Windows 8 and here is a long video by MS- Microsoft Surface Windows 8 Tablet : Keynote....they have one setup with HDMI output.....

It's very nice of you to think of someone special six months ahead.....Nod

The Surface Pro looks awesome!

Having a full Win 8 on tablet is a great idea!
Being able to install something like Visual Studio and code while on the go is awesome!
